Freedom Town is a refugee camp for the Cubans that come to Miami during the 1980 Mariel Boatlift. Tony and Manny are sent there and in order to get out, they start a riot and kill a former Cuban Government official. Sometime later it is closed. Tony later returns with Pablo to meet with Sheffield, but is ambushed. Tony kills the attackers and Pablo. Pablo mentions Freedomtown is "used for private meeting" so possibliy Sheffield purchased it.
After its closer, Freddomtown falls into disrepair with papers everywhere and the tents falling apart. There is also balconies used by guards during the film that Tony can go on. There is also a dock, called Freedomtown Dock. Freedomtown is located in the Northwest corner of the Industrial Park.
